There’s really no way around it these days – if you want to feel better, spend less, and enjoy traveling by air, then good nutrition belongs in your carry-on. Take a look at your flight times and pack up a simple breakfast/lunch/dinner or a few flexible snacks. I put a big emphasis on ‘simple’ because chances are a simple food bag will be a healthier food bag.

Bring some baby carrots or one-bite tomatoes, in a small container

Bring an apple, orange, or banana in your pocket or backpack

Ask for water from the drink cart, to stay hydrated
Ask for orange juice, tomato juice, or apple juice from the drink cart
Ask for nuts instead of a sugary cookie snack
Pre-order a special meal such as low fat or vegetarian on an international flight
