Let’s face it — kids look forward to lunchtime at school as much as they look forward to recess.    No matter what their age, a lunch bag or box with something simple, cheap and nutritious inside is what kids want and what their bodies need.

Easy School Lunches for Kids Help Them Learn!

Kids who are well nourished – breakfast, lunch and dinner – are ‘ready to learn’. But, for parents, it can be overwhelming to focus on packing lunch from home while handling homework, after school activities and everything else in the household. So, here are some ideas to lighten your load Monday through Friday:

Easy School Lunches for Kids Make Them Happy!

Here are 5 combinations that will make kids happy when they open their lunch bag or box at school. Trade it away — no way! Do be sure to adjust for food allergies. And, get your child to help put it all together the night before to allow plenty of time to make and eat a healthy breakfast in the morning.

Lunch #1: Pear + ham sandwich + baked tortilla chips + 1% milk

Lunch #2: Apple slices + vanilla yogurt + peanut butter on crackers + 1% milk

Lunch #3: Raisins + cheese sandwich + baby carrots + 1% milk

Lunch #4: Clementine orange + tuna salad wrap + pretzels + 1% milk

Lunch #5: Grapes + sliced egg sandwich + cucumber slices + 1% milk
